Celebrating 100 years of heritage, education, and unity
In 2025, SJK (C) San Min celebrates its 100th anniversary, marking a century of contributions to Chinese education since its founding by Hainanese immigrants during the early days of Malaya. The school has launched a year-long centennial celebration campaign. As the lead designer for this project, I created the logo, key visual, mascot, and promotional materials, bringing together Hainanese heritage, educational values, Malaysian spirit, and a sense of celebration worthy of this historic milestone.
Objective
To create a centennial identity for SJK (C) San Min that honors its Hainanese roots, highlights its role in Chinese education in Malaysia, and celebrates a century of achievements while inspiring future generations.
Approach
The design draws from the school’s history, Hainanese heritage, and its role in Malaysian Chinese education. It balances tradition with modern simplicity, creating a meaningful and versatile identity. The logo is supported by key visuals, mascots, and promotional materials that unify the centennial campaign with a consistent celebratory tone.
